Introduction

Using computer technology, students will create “Alien Wanted” posters to teach their peers and members of the community about invasive plants.

Students should have already identified and mapped the locations of invasive weed species on their school grounds or in their community. If students have not identified and mapped invasive weed species, see the lessons in the Weed Mapping unit.

Before teaching this lesson, read the entire lesson and make sure all materials are available. Adapt the lesson to the age, skills, and abilities of students and the types of cameras and computer hardware and software available.
